Hello everyone. I know it has been a few days since I have blogged and some of you may be thinking that I gave up on my card a day challenge. Well, I have NOT. I have just had a very busy week. I have been working on cards, but I do not know how some of you do it. I find the designing and making part easy. I just find that it is soooo time consuming to then take pics, watermark, crop, and blog. Then there’s the links and entering challenges and posting on Facebook, Twitter, design team sites etc. I find that hours are consumed with the process and some days I just cannot spare the time. So here are my cards for Monday through tomorrow, Sunday.
I used images from Morgan Fitzsimons’ new craft CD. If you haven’t checked them out, you should. What a deal they are. You get 100s of images for one price. You can print out the size you want and they are precolored. If you want to order directly from Fitztown, you can. You can also check out the other CDs they have which have some super adorable images by other artists too. You can order the CD from Scrapbook Stamp Society if you are interested in supplies and digi images and maybe even some stamps too.
I used the image Cameo 8 to design the following two cards. This one is an A2 card. As many of you know, I have been using up lots of remnants and scraps of paper so I can’t tell you a lot of the names. The sentiment I used on the purple vellum is a stamp from Hampton Art. Of course when my husband and son saw it, they thought of Duck Dynasty, but I have had the stamp for longer then that show has been on! The silver lines are Starform Silver Outline Stickers but the DT members in other countries call them flexies. The bling are from Stampendous and are called Dot Sparklers and you can get them in different colors.
The second card is 5 X 7 using the same cameo. I offset the matted image and cropped the corners. I do this sometimes when I am scrapbooking too so I can get more pics on a page. The flower in the upper left corner is from a layered accents kit from K & Company by Susan Winget called Botanical Flowers. I fell in love with the embellishment in the bottom right corner, it’s sparkly and says “You are the One”. I thought it went perfect with the cameo image.
The next card is using the image, Kingfisher, by Morgan Fitzsimons also. This is an A2 card and I used lots of paper scraps for matting, background and the strips. I used a CM butterfly punch for those scattered little additions.
The next two cards are using the poppy border by Morgan. I printed it out in two different sizes and stamped different sentiments in each.
The first one again uses some of the Starform Outline stickers just in gold this time.
The second one has some adhesive embellishments from the Recollections collection from Michaels. They are extremely reasonably priced at just 99 cents for 8 of them.
The sixth card uses Flower616 image. I used two colors of bakers twine with the sentiment stamp. The flowers are all from K&Company from the Layered Accents collection, these are Mixed Petal.
The last card uses r11a image, again, by Morgan Fitzsimons. The embellishments are from a book I received that I spent hours cutting them all out. I have 100s of them in a little folder and I just started using them!! The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Sticker King.
Thanks for stopping by.
Remember to check out all the CDs available with a variety of digital images for your cards from Fitztown.
