Prepping A Summer Layout & A Couple More Christmas Cards

I am ending the week at Scrapbook Stamp Society that has been dedicated to images by Kim L. Pipkin Gwin.  I know it is December, but I had to change things up a bit and decided to work on a summer layout.  This resulted in my organizing photos and trying to figure out which ones I have developed and which ones need to be.  I used to have all the pics made as I filled an SD card and then my family convinced me a couple years ago to just print the pics as I was ready to scrap them.  Bad idea for me because now it is a major searching project when I have the time to scrap.  That’s it, I am going back to printing as I go!!

So my layout includes two of Kim’s digis.  One is entitled Seashells and the other Crab.  I used watercolors on both of them and after cutting them with my CM shapes, I matted them on some Bazzill that I thought looked fab with this paper from Momenta.  What a great variety for all seasons in the All Through the Year Super Paper Pad, PA-1991, from Momenta.  I have a 4 1/2 X 6 1/2 mat ready for a beach photo.

Here’s a close-up on the Seashells image to give you a better idea on how wonderful the details are:

For the first Christmas card I used another Kim L. Pipkin Gwin image, Santa Attire.  After watercoloring the image, I added some Stickles.  I again used the Momenta All Through the Year Super Paper Pad for the background.

The last card is to show you how easy it is to design a card just with paper and cardstock:

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  I am trying to get some catch up done at my house because I have been spending a lot of my weekday time at my daughter’s.  It is fun spending so much time with her.  It is like a step back in time.

I will be entering my layout and cards into a few challenges:

Allsorts – Oh Christmas Tree

Crafty Hazlenuts Christmas - Christmas

My Time To Craft - Santa
