So, some of you have asked where I have been. I started my business a couple of years ago and I have been trying various ways to “grow” my business. My husband always tells me “if it was easy, everyone would be doing it”!!!! Yes, I put several explanation marks there because he really says it like I am speaking another language. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t expecting it to be easy, but I certainly wasn’t expecting it to be this difficult. I originally started blogging because craft Design Teams expect you to blog. I had been on several DTs because I thought it would bring more traffic to my site, and that would mean more sales and I would be getting exposure to people outside my general geographic region. Well, that is not the case and I found that what used to be fun for me, no longer was. So, I am no longer on any DTs. I chose to quit. That is why I have not blogged in 2 months!! I had tried blogging daily, weekly, and at set intervals, but found that really made no difference. I enjoy the blogging part, love getting feedback from others, and found that it was a good outlet for me. Often, when something is bothering me or I can’t get it off my mind, if I write it down then it’s like I have set it free.
We also have been VERY busy with some projects around the house. I’m sure that many of you can relate to this. Just when you get one thing done, it always seems like there is something else that needs attention. The seal on our slider door to the deck let go some time this winter and we had mold growing between the panes of glass! Disgusting, right? Well, it has been driving me crazy. Any of you that know me, know that things have to be clean, I like organization too, but clean is mandatory. The door is looking great.
Here I am, back today, to share some new creations with you. I had designed several monogrammed note card sets for a customer. She also liked one sentiment stamp in particular, so I did some cards for her with that design. Please, tell me what you think:
I have also been working on some necklace orders. This one is a little different for a special order. One of my customer’s friend’s had a new baby and she wanted a necklace designed to represent the new baby and the older brother sibling. When I suggested using their names and adding their birthstones, she liked the idea. As I worked on it, I decided to use their individual birthstones on both sides of their individual names to make the design look more balanced.
I am also back to working on some new Vintro designs which, hopefully, will be added to my store later this week. If you see one you like and just can’t wait, drop me a line. If you have friends that love unique or made to order designs but just aren’t crafty or don’t have the time, please, send them my way.
I am going to enter my creations into some challenges this week:
